Color Mixing Lab

Use the sliders to mix colours that match the glowing target box.

This colour mixing game is a soft little art lab for kids. Instead of pressure or timers, it invites children to gently play with red, green and blue sliders until they discover a shade close to the target colour.

At the top, a glowing box shows the target colour. Below it, another box shows the colour you are building using the three sliders. Moving the sliders changes how much red, green and blue you are adding. Together, these three values mix into a final colour.

When you feel your colour looks close enough, you can tap the โ€œCheck Matchโ€ button. The game compares your colour with the target and, if the difference is small, celebrates your success and moves you to the next level. Each success adds to your score. The best score on this device is saved using local storage.

This game is meant to be calm and creative. Kids can explore how colours blend, experiment with tiny changes and notice the beauty of small differences. There is no right or wrong pace. The lab is here whenever they want a tiny burst of creativity.

Tips for Kids

  • Move one slider at a time and watch how the colour changes.
  • If your colour looks too dark, try lowering all three sliders a little.
  • If it looks too grey, try pushing one colour more than the others.
  • Celebrate small wins. Even a close match is a nice success.

Every time you match a colour well enough, your level increases slightly and the game quietly tightens the match requirement. This way, the challenge grows with you, but never shouts or rushes.
